Scother decided to put Blankney into bat, and even though losing Brumpton for 4, started positively with Neil Gilbert hitting 52 and James Ingamells 31, finishing on 112. Scothern, with a mix of youth and experience couldnt handle the pace and accuracy of Gaz Schwandt as he picked up 4-18, assisted by Gilbert, Ingamells and Scott as Blankney ran out winners by 40 runs.

Harstholme batted first amassing 104 runs at a steady rate, with four Blankney bowlers, Ingamells, Schwandt, Gilbert and East taking the 9 wickets between them. Blankneys innings never got going with some accurate swing bowling from the two openers. It wasnt until Jake Fowler smashed 3 massive fours in one over that Blankney adapted to the bowling, finishing on 64-7 some what short of the required total.
